Open Loop Energy is a leading company in the Hydraulic repair and heavy equipment parts service industry, specializing in the production and distribution of industry leading solutions and repairs. As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking to hire a Project Planning Technician who will play a crucial role in optimizing our workflow and ensuring the timely completion of projects.

Key Tasks:

  1. Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans, including milestones, tasks, and resources.
  2. Monitor ongoing projects, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
  3. Use project management software to keep track of project progression and report potential setbacks.
  4. Coordinate with different departments, ensuring resources are available and allocated.
  5. Help in setting project goals, defining project scope, and identifying potential risks.
  6. Review project documents, like contracts, to ensure every detail is factored into the planning.
  7. Provide regular updates on project status to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  1. Advocate for best practices in project management, ensuring the consistency and quality of projects.
  2. Proactively identify potential project roadblocks and work with teams to find solutions.
  3. Ensure all projects are compliant with industry standards and company policies.
  4. Train team members on the use of project management tools and techniques.
  5. Oversee the maintenance and updating of project documentation.
  6. Assist in the development of project budgets and financial projections.
  7. Foster collaboration among cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Work Activities:

  1. Leading project planning sessions with cross-functional teams.
  2. Using technology to track project progress and report findings.
  3. Conducting risk assessments to identify potential project challenges.
  4. Collaborating with financial teams to ensure projects stay within budget.
  5. Participating in regular project review and update meetings.

Technology Skills:

  1. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, ERP, MieTrak).
  2. Familiarity with hydraulic system design and diagnostic tools.
  3. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for tracking and forecasting.
  4. Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for reviewing system designs.
  5. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Knowledge:

  1. In-depth understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
  2. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, components, and their applications.
  3. Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
  4. Awareness of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  5. Understanding of the hydraulic distribution and repair market dynamics.

  5. Certifications from leading hydraulic equipment manufacturers.

Salary Range: $20.00 – $35.00 per hour
