Job Description

Open Loop Energy is a leading company in the Hydraulic repair and heavy equipment parts service industry, specializing in the production and distribution of industry leading solutions and repairs. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated component quoter to join our team. This role would be supporting our Customer Service and Supply Chain operation in various duties.

Responsibilities of this Role

· Analyze customer inquiries and technical specifications to understand hydraulic component and system requirements.

· Collaborate with engineering, sales, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for quoting purposes.

· Utilize internal databases, pricing models, and vendor information to determine accurate costs of hydraulic components.

· Calculate material costs, labor costs, overhead, and profit margins to develop comprehensive and competitive quotes.

· Collaborate with suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and lead time information for components and materials.

· Prepare detailed and organized quotes that outline the scope of work, components included, pricing breakdown, and delivery timelines.

· Ensure quotes align with company policies, pricing strategies, core values, and profitability targets.

· Review and revise quotes as needed based on customer feedback, engineering changes, or modifications to specifications.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quotes, pricing data, and customer interactions in the company’s CRM system.

· Communicate effectively with customers to address questions, provide clarifications, and gather additional information as required.

· Assist the sales team in presenting quotes to customers and participate in technical discussions when needed.

· Stay updated on industry trends, new hydraulic components, and advancements to continuously improve the accuracy of quoting processes.

· Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the quoting workflow

Skills and Qualifications

· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced high demand environment

· Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.

· Strong time-management skills, flexibility, and multitasking ability

· Professional customer service skills

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and in writing

· Ability to work both indoors in office environment as well as outside in varying weather conditions and industrial shop environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

· Previous inventory control experience

· Previous purchasing experience

· Prior inside or outside sales experience

· Computer skills or experience with inventory management software
